Beginning with creation in Genesis and ending with Revelation, the Bible is God’s letter to His children–written to help us draw near to Him in faith. It tells the story of Salvation history, of God’s intervention to prepare mankind for His coming in the Incarnation, of Christ’s ministry, sacrifice, and death for our sins, and of the founding of His Church. The reading and meditation on Holy Scripture have been part of the Christian tradition since the beginning.
